Amazing Vouchers and ADT Security

ADT Security once again raised over R100 000 for the Soweto Hospice at its annual Golf Day held on 9 November at the Centurion Golf Club.
Twenty-eight 4-Balls participated in the event and included former Springbok flyhalf, Jannie de Beer, and Heinrich du Preez, South Africa’s star amateur golfer and MC for the event. Amazing Vouchers’ own Dawie Goosen took to the course, flying the flag for charity.
“To date the golf day has been a phenomenal success having raised just over R550 000 over the last four years. The Soweto Hospice relies almost exclusively on charitable donations from local businesses. With this money it can continue providing valuable care for patients from different areas at its centres in Mofolo, Mapetla and Diepkloof. We are pleased that in our small way we can assist,” says Richard McGhee, Sales Director, ADT South Africa.
At the Hospice, patients are given the opportunity to meet with the Hospice doctor, enjoy the company of other patients, learn handwork skills and share a nourishing meal. Trained community care workers support the Soweto Hospice team, helping to care for patients at home as well as at the In-Patient Unit (IPU). In addition, the Hospice has expanded its services, providing food parcels and taking care of pre-schoolers at the day-care centre in Mapetla.
Amazing Vouchers contributed 120 complementary memberships for the event, opening a world of saving and fun to those who received them.
“After the success of this year’s event, it is definitely a day not to miss in 2011,” concludes McGhee.
